KYOTO IMPERIAL PALACE GROUNDS

I fell in love with Kyoto Imperial Palace Grounds. I so love all the trees especially those century old trees inside the palace ground. I am a tree hugger and this place is heaven on earth!

We were literally shivering while walking because of the cold wind. The pavement need some improvement because it is full of small rocks. Senior citizens and pwd should be provided with some sort of transportation by the Japanese government. Peace!

I wandered along the pathways, each turn revealing a new surprise. One moment I'd be marveling at the ancient Sento Imperial Palace, the next I'd stumble upon a hidden grove teeming with life. Everywhere I looked, history whispered from the moss-covered stones and the meticulously raked gravel.

The gardens were pure magic. The Oikeniwa, with its still pond reflecting the sky, felt like a scene straight out of a painting. The Gonaitei, with its perfectly sculpted trees and vibrant koi, offered a moment of pure zen. Then, there was the Kemari-no-niwa. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon a field dedicated to an ancient Japanese "football" game! The thought of emperors kicking around a leather ball cracked me up, but it also offered a fascinating glimpse into a bygone era.
