Following an alleged dispute over the remaining balance for a house they bought for their mother, actress Ara Mina filed charges of libel and grave coercion against younger sister Cristine Reyes not to claim money but to “teach her a lesson” for her attitude.
Mina was emotional in a press interview on Wednesday where she bared her complaint against Reyes for libel and grave coercion, which was filed at the Quezon City fiscal’s office. According to Mina’s lawyer, Reyes allegedly asked her older sister to turn over Mina’s SUV as payment for the remaining balance for a property. If not, Reyes allegedly threatened that she will continue her personal attacks against her sister.

Mina said she tried to reach out to Reyes to iron things out but to no avail. “Hanggang makakapag-pasensya, magpa-pasensya ako. Punung-puno na ako eh, hindi ko na kaya, kasi kung anu-ano na ang sinasabi niya. Kailangan ko lang gawin ‘to kasi ayaw niya makipag-usap. Para maturuan siya ng leksyon, kasi hindi na tama ‘yung ginagawa niya,” Mina said. Reyes has been attacking her through text messages since she tried to resolve matters, Mina claimed.

“Kung ayaw niyo manggulo ako sa buhay niyo, bayaran utang niyo sa akin. Kung wala kayo pangbayad, ibigay niyo hinihingi ko,” Reyes allegedly said in one text message to Mina.

“I’m sure ibebenta mo ‘yang laspag mong katawan na pinagsawaan na ng lahat. Daig pa aso sa sobrang kati,” Reyes allegedly said in another.

“Nag-start lang nung sinabi ko na mag-usap tayo kasi marami akong naririnig na sinasabi mo,” Mina said. “Tapos nag-freak out na siya. ‘Wag na raw ako mag-text kung wala akong magandang sasabihin. “Tapos tuluy-tuloy na, hindi ko siya sinasagot. Buong Holy Week, hindi niya ako tinantanan. Hanggang ngayon nagte-text siya sa sister-in-law ko. Pati ibang tao dinadamay na niya,” Mina added.

Reyes’s alleged anger stemmed from a disagreement on the payment for a house they bought for their mother, Mina said. But she added that this is not the “main factor” that pushed her to bring their dispute to court.

Mina asserted that she is only suing her sister because of her attitude. “Pinag-pasensyahan ko na ‘yung ibang ginawa niya before, pero this time marami na po siyang dinamay na tao. Naghihintay ako na, ‘Ate, sorry kung may mga nasabi ako,’ pero wala. Parang wala na siyang sinasanto,” Mina said.

Mina added that she was pushed to sue Reyes when she felt her dignity as a sister and as a person was stepped upon from the alleged threats. “Wala akong sinisingil.

According to Reyes’s manager Veronique del Rosario, their camp will wait for a copy of the complaint before issuing a statement.

Yesterday, Tuesday, April 17, 2012, TV host and actress Anne Curtis was in a hurry to catch the live telecast of “It’s Showtime” that she decided to take the MRT again. This was her third time to take the said public transportation.

Some photos of Anne while inside the MRT. Anne Curtis happily pose with fellow passengers. She also seated with fellow passengers.

The first time Anne rode the MRT was on July 5, 2011. The actress was then rushing to watch the concert of Kylie Minogue at the Araneta Coliseum. Coming from the airport and stuck in traffic, she felt she would not be able to catch up with the concert if she stayed in the car.
Immediately, Anne tweeted her first MRT experience, asking her followers on Twitter: “Hulaan nyo kung nasaan ako para makahabol kay #Kylie? :p,”
The message came with her photo that was taken inside MRT.
Then she posted a series of tweets.
“I’m in the girls area! They’re all nice! Swerte daw ako at hindi masyado siksikan! :)”
“Don’t worry guys! I’m with my angel Maryann! And mababait lahat ng girls! D magulo! Picture picture taking lang at chikahan!”
“I like the fact that there’s a ladies and men’s section! Thumbs up!”
In the end, Anne felt she made the right move.
“I can see the traffic on Edsa from here! I made the right decision! :),” she said.
On August 2, 2011, Anne again rode an MRT, this time to avoid tremendous traffic jam as typhoon Kabayan was wreaking havoc in Manila. She was then with her younger sister Jasmine Curtis Smith. She was trying to beat time as she would be late for her hosting stint on “Showtime.”
Excitedly, Anne tweeted about her second MRT experience.
“MRT take 2 with @jascurtissmith! We’re near na!!!! Showtime wait for us!!!”
This was followed by another tweet, “I think I should be the ambassador for public transportation na! Haha. I love how fast the MRT is! Can you get a card for it na pwede mag-load? Like an oyster or myki card?”
The actress lauded her younger sister’s attitude in riding a public transit.
“Thanks to my beautiful baby @jascurtissmith for being game to jump out of the car, duck under the railings along Santolan, run up the flooded stairs with the rain pouring down as hard as and catch the MRT with me! Her sneakers and socks are drenched but I haven’t heard a simple complaint!”

Derek Ramsay moving to TV5

Oh la la! My favorite actor Derek Ramsay is indeed moving to TV5 according to Bong Osorio, head of ABS-CBN Corporate Communications. Bong confirmed that Derek Ramsay has decided to transfer to TV5.

It is said that TV5 offered Derek Ramsay an amount that was difficult for him to refuse. For months, ABS-CBN has exerted efforts to make him stay as a Kapamilya.

Derek Ramsay’s contract with ABS-CBN expired at the end of February 2012.

Just two weeks ago, Ramsay confirmed that ABS-CBN offered to renew his contract as a Kapamilya. “Nakita na namin ‘yung offer. I think they’re exchanging e-mails now. My parents, my dad just sent an e-mail to Sir Gabby (Lopez), and nag-uusap usap na,” Ramsay said at that time. “Yung mga little details, sila nag-aayos eh, so I’m just waiting for that phone call na.”

Speculations about Ramsay’s transfer to TV5 have been reported in media for months, and the actor repeatedly denied that money is behind his decision to switch networks.

Ramsay is the latest ABS-CBN star to move to the No. 3 network. Last year, actress-singer Sharon Cuneta announced her transfer to the Manuel Pangilinan-led media company after signing a reported P1-billion contract for five years. Other ABS-CBN celebrities who have moved to TV5 include Willie Revillame, Mariel Rodriguez and Aga Muhlach.

Stars who have opted to stay and renew their contracts with ABS-CBN include Anne Curtis, Cristine Reyes and Toni Gonzaga. ABS-CBN was also able to sign-up stars from other networks, including Iza Calzado, Janice de Belen, Richard Gomez and Carmina Villaroel.

Still with Star Cinema?

Ramsay’s transfer to TV5 was first reported by columnist Shirley Matias-Pizarro and published at the Manila Bulletin on Sunday.

Quoting unnamed sources, Pizarro said Ramsay will maintain his contract with Star Cinema to do movies this year and the next, although ABS-CBN’s statement did not mention this.

Ramsay’s latest movie, the digital film “Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang,” was a surprise hit and is now on its third week of theatrical release. He also starred in two of the biggest movies last year – “The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin” with Vice Ganda and “No Other Woman” with Anne Curtis and Cristine Reyes. Ramsay joined the Star Magic concert in Hawaii last Saturday.

Break in Australia

On Monday, Ramsay said on his official Twitter account that he is taking a one-week break in Australia. “Be safe, babe! Gonna miss you,” he told girlfriend, ABS-CBN actress Angelica Panganiban, via Twitter.

As of posting, Ramsay has not mentioned anything about his transfer to TV5 on his Twitter account.

Wilma Doesnt Topless in Playboy Magazine

“What else is new?” Mariposa quips when I told her that comedian and Mariposa’s all-time favorite pinoy supermodel Wilma Doesnt  is the cover girl of Playboy Magazine April 2012 fourth year anniversary issue.
Yes, folks! Wilma Doesnt undressed for the cover of Playboy Magazine Philippines this April 2012 entitled “Embracing All Colors”.
For me parang nakakasawa na lahat na lang nag to top less. Hays, please don’t emulate this people.
In 2003 Raymond Isaac launched a photo exhibit of his famous works one of which was a photograph of a naked and pregnant Wilma Doesnt.
Then she appeared again in Preview Magazine in 2007 again in all her pregnant glory.
To my readers please be guided accordingly. Don’t emulate everything that they do.
