WAT PO -TEMPLE OF THE RECLINING BUDDHA SIGNAGE AND PICTURES
You would find these signages at the entrance of Wat Pho Temple. What caught my attention is the signage that warn people against NON-THAI PICKPOCKETS. Lol. Naisip ko tuloy baka they were referring to Pinoys again. We happened to be in Hongkong when they caught two pickpockets/ snatchers. Yes! Not one, but two snatchers who are both Filipinos. I may be laughing about it but deep inside it hurts:( grabe impression nila pag Pinoy :( Maybe those Pinoys have their own reasons. We never know. I just hope and pray there would come a day that whenever they learn that we are Filipinos they would respect and regard us highly.
Proceed with caution against this gang. Just bear in mind they are NON-THAI! One day we would also display that sign in the Philippines-- NON-FILIPINO PICKPOCKETS.
Anyhow, let's move on and see the grandeur of WAT PO.
The beautiful back view of the giant reclining buddha-Wat Pho.
The Buddha statue at WAT PHO was reclining because he was at peace. They said that he is awaiting for heaven in this pose. That's why he was reclining.
This is a painting on WAT PHO wall that shows a village and its people. The painting depicts the Buddha and the village people in their everyday lives.

My brother and I went to Wat Pho after our shopping spree around Thailand. It is our second time in Bangkok, Thailand. And we really love the place. My mouth fell the first time I saw the Giant reclining Buddha. It was so huge and glittering in gold. Its feet is made of mother of Pearl and everyone is forbidden to touch it.
The intricate design of buddha's characteristics is made of mother of pearl . Amazingly beautiful

FREE 75,000 MRT TICKETS TO BE GIVEN AWAY BY PRU LIFE OF UK
MANILA, Philippines—Lucky commuters will be able to take Metro Rail Transit (MRT) trains on Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (Edsa) for free on Friday as insurance company Pru Life UK celebrates its 15th anniversary by giving away tickets.
In a statement, Pru Life UK said it would put up booths at the MRT’s Taft, Ayala, Shaw, Cubao and North EDSA stations to distribute a total of 75,000 tickets to passengers. This makes up about 16 percent of the MRT line’s daily average ridership of 450,000 passengers.
“There will be allocations for both morning and afternoon commuters, and tickets will be given away until supplies last,” the company said.
“The motto of Pru Life UK is ‘Always listening, always understanding.’ What better way to show the Filipino people that Pru Life UK understands their needs than by celebrating our 15th year through an initiative that will connect with something they do everyday?” the company’s president Antonio de Rosas said.
“Public transportation, especially the MRT, holds a significant role in our urban lives. As we celebrate 15 years of service, we wanted to do something that would make us reach not just our policy holders but the public in general. This is Pru Life UK’s way of sharing its blessings,” he said.
On Thursday, government employees were likewise treated with free train tickets at the MRT and Light Rail Transit (LRT) lines 1 and 2, in celebration of the Civil Service Commission’s 111th anniversary this September.
About 1.25 million commuters take the LRT and MRT trains every day. The MRT line runs along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, Metro Manila’s busiest thoroughfare, from Taft Avenue in Pasay to North Avenue in Quezon City.
The LRT line 1 runs along Taft Avenue from Baclaran, in Parañaque to Roosevelt in Quezon City, while line 2 runs along Aurora Boulevard from Recto, Manila to Santolan, Marikina.
Pru Life UK is an indirect subsidiary of Prudential Plc, a United Kingdom-registered company, through Prudential Corporation Asia.
