How To Register E-Bike in the Philippines

How To Register Your E-Bike in the Philippines

Manila Metropolitan Development Authority(MMDA) now requires LTO registration for e-bikes in the Philippines.  This requirement stems from the newly implemented RA 11697 or Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to register your e-bike in the Philippines in 2022. You must prepare the following requirements:

  1. Original sales invoice, PNP-HPG MV clearance, insurance certificate of cover (aka TPL), and certificate of stock reported (CSR) which you can get from your trusted dealer.
  2. Proceed to any LTO District Office or Regional Office.
  3. Submit the documents to an LTO evaluator who will then check and encode them into their system.
  4. Wait for the approving officer to give you a breakdown of fees, which you will pay at the LTO cashier.
  5. After payment, the releasing officer will provide the official receipt (OR) and certificate of registration (CR).

E-bike Registration Fees

Despite having the same process, e-bikes have different corresponding fees. Refer to the table below:

Vehicle Type/CategoryMVUC Rate
Category L2b, L3Similar to motorcycle w/o sidecar
Category L4Similar to motorcycle w/ sidecar
Category L5, L6, L7Similar to “light” car

This means that owners will pay ranging from Php 240 for e-bikes under L2b and L3 categoriesPhp 300 for L4 categories, and Php 1,600 for L5, L6, and L7 categories.

It is very important to ascertain the type of your electric bike since not all of them are required to have an LTO registration.

Puerto Princesa: Paradise Regained

Puerto Princesa is known for its royal treatment of its guests. With safety protocols firmly enforced, guests are assured of their safety.

Good news to all those bitten by the travel bug, Puerto Princesa is poised to again welcome tourists with open arms. In recent years, the highly urbanized city and tourist haven has been paralyzed by the Covid-19 pandemic, then pummeled by Typhoon Odette. But it is now on the road to recovery---as spectacularly as its scenic, romantic and gastronomic attractions.

“The tourism industry is the lifeblood of Puerto Princesa, along with agriculture. Almost 15,000 people directly or indirectly benefit from tourism. In varying degrees, most of the recent construction and development projects are related to tourism: hotel-building, parks, cruise-ship ports, street lights, roads and many more. Unfortunately, some of these have been on hold since the onset of the pandemic,” discloses Demetrio “Toto” Alvior Jr., the city tourism officer.

The Royal Connection

Puerto Princesa, the capital of postcard-perfect Palawan, sprawls across 253,982 hectares of captivating coastlines stretched over 106 kilometers. Due to its strategic geographical location, it has sufficient depth to allow ships of all sizes to anchor, earning a reputation as a “Princess of Ports,” or in Spanish, “Puerto Princesa.”

There’s no contention that Puerto Princesa is one of the country’s greatest pleasures. A holiday destination universally beloved by travelers, beach-combers and trekkers; a bustling business center with a rural allure; a provincial vibe with modern amenities; and a clean and green city recognized for its lush forests, fresh air and frontier character.

Rising Above Covid-19

The city of Puerto Princesa has been struggling to get to its feet since the outbreak of Covid-19 in early 2020. The lack of tourists, which is the main industry, has forced hundreds of tourism-related businesses to close, leaving thousands of tourism workers unemployed.

“The public-health crisis forced them to find alternative sources of income, which was made more difficult because of the restrictions of movement due to several lockdowns,” Mr. Alvior reveals. “One factor of low tourist arrivals is the fluctuating number of Covid cases, which in turn affects the determination of quarantine requirements and national government intervention policies.”

Today, Puerto Princesa is experiencing record lows in terms of economic losses, losing around P5 billion a year for the past two years from potential tourist receipts.

“The City Tourism Department has been strengthening its social media campaigns to encourage local tourists to visit local attractions, in a bid to boost much-needed revenues to the ailing tourism sector,” a cautiously optimistic Mr. Alvior says. “We have one important wish in the City Tourism Department, and that is to prioritize the aids for the Typhoon Odette-affected tourism industry here.”

The goal is to regain the city’s glory as an eco-tourism capital. “Our 2022 goals are full restoration of all the tourist attractions affected by Typhoon Odette such as the completion of the construction of the cruise-ship port and other man-made tourist attractions. There will be wide, extensive and aggressive promotions of Puerto Princesa to the local and international market.”

The Last Frontier

Puerto Princesa has a plethora of tourist spots. But many tourists who visit the city put the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, one of the New7Wonders of Nature, on top of their list. As the jump-off point for exploring the world-famous Tubbataha Reef, the city also hosts a fair share of adventurers.

“Since the Covid-19 outbreak, we have never ceased to hope that the future will be better. This year 2022 is no different. And while what we want is a full recovery, we cannot afford to be careless when taking big steps. As we begin to truly understand the gravity of the situation, we also come to realize that our moves must be consistent with the bigger picture such as the national situation,” Mr. Alvior says.

Since February 10, the city has been happily welcoming more visitors once again, hoping that the arrival numbers will soon be back to pre-pandemic levels. In this initiative, the tourism department shares the privilege on with the private sector.

“While the government is the administrator of the State, the private sector is the bloodline. The government and the private sector are two inseparable factors for Puerto Princesa to prosper, and more importantly, to recover,” Mr. Alvior says. “The key to recovery is to enable and support the private sector to keep or resume their business operations. When it comes to the city’s biggest partners, apart from government agencies, it is the collective impact of small-business operations.”

Puerto Princesa may be “The Last Frontier,” but the City Tourism Department is confident that it will always be the first choice of every traveler.

COMELEC: Precinct Finder Is Now Online

Good news, dear readers! You can now check the status of your voter's registration starting today, Friday, April 22, 2022.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) precinct finder is now online.

Comelec’s precinct finder can be accessed through:

 https://voterverifier.comelec.gov.ph/voter_precinct

A duly registered voter can now finally search where they can vote and know their assigned polling center or precinct for the upcoming elections on May 9, 2022. All you have to do is to encode the following:

  • your full name
  • region and city or municipality where you registered as a voter.

Last April 1, the Comelec partnered with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in preparation for the upcoming polls. The DICT said it will provide cloud hosting to Comelec’s online services such as Precinct Finder, among others.

According to Comelec Commissioner George Erwin Garcia, the DICT had a small technical problem that caused the delay in the activation of Comelec’s Precinct Finder, adding that the DICT and Comelec have ensured that hackers will not be able to access the Precinct Finder.

Not techie? No load? No access online? Don't you worry because soon those who have no internet access can approach personnel from local Cosmelec offices nationwide. That's right, off the grid voters will soon be provided with their voters information sheet, containing the details of where they will cast their vote.

Filipino Bloggers Network holds 10th Annual Thanksgiving Party

It was a decade ago when the Filipino Bloggers Network (FBN), one of the most active Philippine-Based community of bloggers and influencers in the country, held its first-ever Thanksgiving Party in a hotel in Quezon City.

This coming December 12, FBN will hold its 10th Annual Thanksgiving Party virtually to reacquaint with fellow members around the country and reminisce 120 months of challenges and cheers; 3,650 days of networking; countless stories and priceless memories.

Although the gathering will still be online just like last year, FBN members anticipate the annual get-together as an opportunity to make new friends and catch up with old pals they have not seen for a while, not to mention the chance of winning some exciting prizes from the games and raffle draws. Representatives of different PR groups and brands will also grace the event to personally thank members of the online community who have supported them in the past years.

FBN currently has around 2,000 members across the country and abroad and continues to expand as it provides a venue for Filipino bloggers to interact with other members, even those based overseas. Moderating the discussions and posting opportunities from several brands are co-admins Divine Reyes and Richard Mamuyac and Lariza Garcia.

FDA Releases Data Of Vaccine Efficacy of Different Brands

Ten percent of the entire population has already received their first dose as of August 1, 2021.  And around 9 million plus are fully Vaccinated according to FDA.

Those who received one dose of Sinovac are around 7,044,592 and around 266 got Covid-19 and around 39 died.

Around 5,093,246 who are fully vaccinated with Sinovac around 129 got Covid-19 and around 3 of them died.

First dose of Astra Zeneca is around 3,124,335 and 255 got Covid-19 and 21 died.

First dose of Sputnik was administered to 249,708 around six got Covid-19 and zero died.

Moderna's first dose was administered to 76,207 people and one got Covid-19 and zero died.

Fully Vaccinated with one dose with Janssen is around 1,927,720 with zero deaths.
One dose of Pfizer vaccine was administered to 1,252,739 individuals and 18 of them got Covid-19 with zero deaths.

I wonder why their is no accountability. The DOH and the one in charge with the vaccine acquisition last year should know that the blood in this war is in THEIR HANDS.

Continue to observe at least two meters distance, wash your hands properly, wear facemask and faceshield and Pray psalm 91 🙏

APOR: Authorized Person Outside of Residence

Of late, I bet you have been hearing the word "APOR" everyday from Gen. Eleazar, Sec. Roque, IATF, DOH, Octa Research Group, Dr. Tony Leachon and other TV and Radio personalities. But honestly, do you really know exactly who among the general population is considered an APOR?

Here is the guide given by the PCOO :

Some LGU'S through their respective barangay started to issue new quarantine pass and city passes. So, go ask them via text or cp and download all the necessary qr codes or qr pass to be able to go physically to your respective offices.

Stay safe. Keep social distancing if you REALLY NEED TO GO OUT and you happened to be the designated "alay" ✌️🤣😋or APOR of your household. Please observe proper washing of hands, wear facemask and faceshield. Observe at least two meters distance from other individuals. Use a different set of slippers inside and outside your homes. And as much as possible designate an APOR who is already fully vaccinated. Pray Psalm 91🙏

Can Vaccination Exempt You From Covid-19?

"Prevention is better than cure".

As of now, there's no valid cure for Covid-19.  There are only vaccines that introduces the virus to your immune system via messenger RNa (Pfizer or Moderna) or  adenovector (Johnson &Johnson) or adenoviral- based (Sputnik v) or inactivated virus (Sinovac) to help the body build its defenses against the virus. Yes, that means that when you're vaccinated your body could now fight off the deadly virus when you chance upon it in the future.

Our government is doing everything in their power to take care of the majority of people but they can only do so much. They're not perfect. They still have to intensify vaccination, contact tracing up to the fourth degree and to make available to the people FREE mass testing. And of course, put in place boarder control in tiny bubbles or pearly shell ✌️🤣😋 to delay the transmission of the deadly Delta Virus.

Fact is, even if you're vaccinated you could still get infected with Covid-19 or become a carrier of the virus to the unvaccinated.

What are the Advantages of those who are already Vaccinated?

After two weeks after their SECOND DOSE they will have immunity against the virus and if ever they contacted the virus, they'll just have mild symptoms unless they have other underlying sickness. Usually, the manifestations of Delta Variant of the Covid-19 Virus is common cold (sipon), sneezing (hatsing), headache (Makulog ang payo) Sometimes they also suffer from high fever and non-stop coughing. It would be deadly to those who are unvaccinated with underlying medical condition.

Delta Variant is NO JOKE. It is highly contagious. This variant could infect up to 8 other individuals in just a few seconds of exposure to someone with the Delta Variant of Covid-19. Even other countries like Australia is in lock down season 6 right now. Because of Delta Variant. 😢 Sad but true. All over the world there are lockdowns. Not just us.

We should follow the government directive for our own protection and that of our family, friends and the entire country. Especially now that the Delta Variant of COVID-19 targets not only the older population but the younger population as well. I know of an 11- year old who died from COVID-19 recently. 😢☹️😞

Please Practice 🙏proper handwashing with soap and water, wear facemask and faceshield,  observe at least two meters distance from others. Don't touch your face. Use a different slippers outside then another pair inside your home if possible 🙏✌️ Please don't go out If not necessary. Pray PSALM 91 🙏 God bless us all🙏

This too shall pass. Keep on going;

Welcome
