This 2020, Philippine passport holders will be given VISA-FREE access to cities like Seoul, Busan, and Nami Island – making you one step closer to checking South Korea off your bucket list! However, there’s a catch – so keep on reading!

Last December 12, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance and the Ministry of Justice announced that as part of South Korea’s “Plan for Promoting Foreign Tours,” Philippine passport holders will be permitted to enter major South Korea cities without holding a visa!

However, it is important to note the limitations of this program. Tourists are only permitted visa-free entry in inland areas – Seoul, Incheon, and Busan – for up to five days; and that their final destination be Jeju Island.

This new Visa-Free program also extends to Vietnam and Indonesian passport holders.

DUTERTE: Must Certify Urgent Law Vs. VAPE/ Vaping

Our beloved president Rodrigo Duterte with his power as president of the Republic of the Philippines must use the principle of Parens patriae and certify urgent the law vs. Vaping and vape/e-juice.

With all due respect to you Tatay Digong. 🙏 You're very intelligent and you're my lodi and hope of the Filipino people.  You can order the law making body of the Philippines - - which is our congress to immediately pass a law vs. Vape/ Vaping/ E-Juice because of its harmful effects to the health of anyone who uses and smells it. 

By certifying its urgency the law vs. Vape and vaping will have its first and last reading. Thus, shortening the time for the law to be passed. Avoiding the long and tedious process of the second and third reading. To our congressmen: Please don't prolong the process. Save the Filipino children ASAP. Salamat po. 🙏 

In the US, vape /E-Juice was found to be extremely hazardous. Now, imagine what they found in their study, a teenager with a lungs of a 70-year old after only six months of vaping.  E-Juice is much worst according to a doctor of medicine. Grade school pupils and high school students who thought that E-Juice is better will have the biggest disappointment of their lives. Because the doctors found out that one E-Juice is equivalent to ten packs of cigarettes. 

To those who disagree with the President's speech against vape/vaping: As a parent would you wait for the worst to happen to the Filipino children before you take actions? For what? For money? How about the grade schoolers who think that e-juice is cool? Please think about your own kid/kids. 

I am sad when people make fun of the president. I don't condone to some of his actions and speeches but he is our PRESIDENT. That is the will of the majority of Filipinos. Obvious naman sa result ng nakaraan election. Mas okay nga na hindi sila magka partido para may check in balance sa ginagawa ng bawat isa. I wonder why is there so much hate? The President should protect the children and the Filipino people.  Mr. President please use the principle behind parens patriae to certify urgent the law vs. Vaping/e-Juice. 

Parens patriae is a Latin for 'parent of his or her country.' In the juvenile justice legal system, parens patriae is a doctrine that allows the state to step in and serve as a guardian for children, the mentally ill, the incompetent, the elderly, or disabled persons who are unable to care for themselves. 

Since the President is a lawyer I know that he is aware of this principle. Give him a break.

Anyone who had tried dieting before would agree with me that it is not as easy as it may sounds. Plus, a healthy diet requires not only a solid determination but a lot of moolah too! Why? Because it is very expensive! There are so many diet options in the market today but they come with a hefty price tag! You may classify me into someone who had been dieting all my life. Eversince I can remember I am constantly on a diet. Then, one day I give up and let my unhealthy lifestyle overcome my will to be healthy. 

I've tried so many diet options before , but I ended up as a total failure. I know, I am a ticking time bomb. I am aware that I should shape up sooner and not later or I'll end up six feet under the ground. Hard as it may seems, it is for my best interest.  

Come on, admit it. Following a strict diet are generally not effective. Plus it is unhealthy like Keto diet. Some healthy stuff doesn't taste good. Some do taste good but they're very unhealthy. And some diet stuff makes me crave for more food. Being deprived makes me want more. 

A healthy lifestyle will not only extend your life span, but also makes you feel and look good. Plus you don't have to buy plus sizes clothes anymore. Being healthy will also makes you more confident.  Obese individuals has greater chances of suffering from diabetes, cancer, renal failures and other diseases imaginable. 

Problem is, my main problem is not only psychological but also budget. Not to mention that going into a strict diet—Low Carbohydrate/Sugar-Free diet makes me crave for more rice. You see. I am a typical Filipino who loves rice. And rice is carbohydrates. No rice diet makes me weak. 

Diabetic Cases

The Philippines is considered one of the diabetes "hot spots" in the Western Pacific region. It is estimated that 1 out of 5 Filipinos are diabetic. This statistic is very alarming and calls for attention of the general public. Several cause-oriented group has already started campaigns to spread awareness in the hope to help hinder the growth

It was noted that unhealthy lifestyle habits of Filipinos is the main cause of diabetes. This was also tackled by World Health Organization and they also included sedentary lifestyles as major lifestyle risk factors, stating that 1 in 3 overweight and 1 in 10 is obese.

"When one of our family member got confined in the hospital, we were surprised that the price of our bread were quite high due to several administrative fees," Evan recounts.

With the company's desire to promote affordable and quality healthy, they created the brand "Hearty Bread" to make healthy breads readily available and affordable to the general public.

To give you an idea, if you are not familiar with the price of Gluten-Free/Sugar-Free in the market, other producers are selling these breads ranging from Php500 to Php600 per loaf. Expensive? You bet! 

Hearty Bread invested in research and development for two (2) years in order to come up with bread that are double in size and begun selling at half the price – all Gluten-Free/Sugar-Free.

A lot of other products are in the pipeline and are being developed which gives those who are into these type of diet something to look forward to.

Evan also shares the secret to making their bread available at a very low price – 

"We can really lower the cost of our products since we produce them commercially in volume quantities. We also own the lot where our facilities operate so we don't pay rent. We make our breads affordable not to kill the market price, but to make these healthy breads more affordable and help those who are burdened to begin with."

I received a basket of Hearty Bread the other week and O boy, they're all delicious. To think that all of these breads are gluten free!!! 

Our house boy asked me why am I eating steel wool. Lol. It is because he saw me eating Hearty Bread's Charcoal Almond Cheesy Loaf. He's so funny. l decided to let him taste it. One could feel Manila Hotel's Christmas vibe upon entering its grandiose doors.

Since October we're here almost everyday because my brother goes to Manila Hotel's health club. 

We chance upon Manila Hotel's president, former Senator Joey Lina tonight together with Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. 

I wanted a selfie with the former president but I am too shy to ask her for a photo plus her bodyguard looks like a tiger, lol. Someday perhaps. Her son Datu Arroyo used to be the congressman in my Mom's hometown. Plus, she's the guest speaker during my college graduation. GMA is very industrious a very loving mom and wife, a very good teacher and economist.
