AQUA – the coolest event by the Manila Bay area's Manila Ocean Park.

Last April 28, 2012, everyone dressed up in his or her best summer fashion and had a fantastic time at Manila Ocean Park. AQUA – the coolest event by the Manila Bay area was presented by the Manila Ocean Park.
Bloggers, invited guests, tour operators, patrons, literally swim, party and groove the night away. Everyone had a fabulous time with the performances of top local bands Silent Sanctuary, Tanya Markova, Moonstar 88 and more. Guests had refreshing drinks at Liquid Pool Bar and Lounge and listen to the pulsating beats of house music and club DJ.  It is also the grand launch of Brand magazine - the newest hip publication in town.

If you visit Manila Ocean park, don't forget to check out over 5,000 breathtaking marine life species at the Oceanarium and marvel as you see live penguins for the first time in
  • Trails to Antarctica.
  • Meet adorable South American sealions in the Sealion Show
  • and be mesmerized with graceful dancing fairies of the sea in Jellies Exhibit.
  • At nighttime, a fusion of laser lights, water screens and other special effects are the highlights of the spectacular AQUA Musical Fountain Show.
AQUA was an event that we didn't  miss since this is the introduction of the latest technology to make Manila Ocean Park the first high-tech theme park in the country. The park has recently launched instant information download through mobile phone and other digital enhancements for guests' ease of access and convenience. We had availed of an e-wrist tag that lets us access Facebook and Twitter in real time. It automatically posted status updates and shared them to our friends while we're having fun in different attractions. Imagine how cool was that!

Ticket price is P300 inclusive of entrance to AQUA, 2 drinks and e-wrist tag and was sold at Manila Ocean Park. For details, visit www.manilaoceanpark.com or call 567-7777 loc. 151 and 155.

AQUA is presented by Ensogo Philippines, Flawless, Brand Magazine, 105.1 Crossover, Hotel H2o, Liquid Pool & Lounge, Zenyu Eco Spa, Makan Makan Asian Food Village and Quix!

HOW TO COMMUTE TO MANILA OCEAN PARK FROM MUNOZ, QUEZON CITY

It is summer vacation in the Philippines. That means that kids have plenty of time in their hands. So why don't you bring them to an educational tour at the MANILA OCEAN PARK?

Here is a simple guide on HOW TO COMMUTE TO MANILA OCEAN PARK FROM MUNOZ, QUEZON CITY.
  • Go to the Waltermart LRT station in Munoz, Quezon City.
  • Take the LRT to United Nations (UN) station. This will cost you Php 20.00 per person.
  • After you alight at the United Nations (UN) Avenue Station, go down the stairs located on your left (west) side.
  • Continue walking about one (1) block along Taft Avenue (follow the LRT track) until you get to Teodoro M. Kalaw St.
  • Turn left at Teodoro M. Kalaw St., and continue walking about 2-3 blocks until you get to Parade Avenue/ Quirino St. You will pass by the Department of Tourism, the National Library, Museo Pambata, Museo ng Maynila, Old Luneta and Rizal Park.
  • Turn right after Rizal Park/ Museo ng Maynila. You will then see Manila Ocean Park on your left behind the Quirino Grandstand.

Fun Aqua Pool Party at Manila Ocean Park

We had so much fun yesterday (April 28, 2012) at the Biggest Aqua Pool Party at the Manila Ocean Park (MOP).
The heat was unbearable the past few days. I thought Metro Manila and most of Luzon might dry up under this unforgiving summer sun! I hope it will not soar up to 37 degrees Celsius. No amount of air conditioning and halo-halo could make me bear the heat.

Just imagine my happiness when I got an invitation from Ia to the Biggest Aqua Pool Party at Manila Ocean Park! Thanks Ia!
It was also the grand launching of Manila Ocean Park (MOP) E-Wrist Tag (a Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) with free wifi access), a first here in the country. I feel so privileged to be among the first ones to experience such technology. Here's how it works: we deposited Php100 for the use of the E-Wrist Tag. Upon activation, it automatically updates your status both on Facebook and Twitter. High tech!
Then we lined up and bought pop corn and hotdog sandwich at the food stall inside Manila Ocean Park. The night started with the spectacular Magical Fountain show of Manila Ocean Park.

After the amazing fountain show, we proceeded to the Liquid Aqua Pool where everyone had fun swimming the summer heat away.

Aqua Pool Party is more fun in the Philippines! More Photos here
