Meralco consumers enjoy lower power rates in May
·        Earlier this month, Meralco announced that the rate for its residential customers in May would go down by 41-centavos per kWh, thereby bringing it down to Php 8.44 per kWh.
·         For a typical household consuming 200 kWh, this translates to a reduction of around Php 82.00 in their electricity bill.
·        This month’s overall rate is lower by Php 1.54 per kWh compared to May 2015’s Php 9.98 per kWh. It is also the lowest since January 2010, or over a period of six years.
·        The decrease in the overall rates was primarily due to the generation charge, which decreased by PhP0.21 per kWh from last month.May’s generation charge is the lowest since October 2004.
·         Transmission charge likewise registered a decrease of PhP0.10 per kWh due to the reduction in NGCP’s ancillary charges and slight decrease in Power Delivery Service (PDS) charge.
·         Taxes and Other Charges also decreased by PhP0.10 per kWh following the reduction in generation and transmission charges.
·        Meralco’s distribution, supply, and metering charges, meanwhile, have remained unchanged for 10 months, after they registered a reduction in July 2015.
Meralco does not earn from the pass-through charges, such as the generation and transmission charges. Payment for the generation charge goes to the power suppliers, while payment for the transmission charge goes to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).

What you pay in your bill also goes to these other components of the electricity supply chain.
GENERATION CHARGE is the largest component of the bill. It comprises the total of all costs charged by the different generation companies that provide Meralco with power supply. These include San Miguel Corporation, Aboitiz Power, DMCI, First Gen, AES, and EGCO. In special cases, this may include charges from the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM).
TRANSMISSION CHARGE goes to NGCP. Of course, there are also government taxes and other charges warranted by government regulators to ensure the industry’s viability.
Instead of each of these entities delivering bills to your doors and collecting payment, Meralco consolidates all charges in one electric bill, before sending it to you. Then, Meralco collects payment and pays the other companies and the government in behalf of its consumers.
DISTRIBUTION CHARGE is the only amount Meralco receives for its services. Distribution charge is not as unpredictable as other charges because it is regulated by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC). In fact, the distribution charge decreased last 2014, became even lower last 2015, and has not changed since then.

JOLLIBEE NEWEST YUMBASSADORS: 4th Impact

JOLLIBEE NEWEST YUMBASSADORS: 4th Impact

I love how these girls remain humble in spite of their success in the music scene in the United Kingdom (UK) no less! A far cry from a Filipina who only got married to a foreigner in New Zealand who demean and call us Filipinos stupid and idiot. Ate, where did you come from? Hindi ka na pinoy because you live in a first world country? ( you keep on insisting that you live in a first world country)
Well, you ought to watch this video ate so you’ll get some pointers on how to remain humble in spite of a successful career in another country.
I asked Almira and Celina this question: How do you keep yourself humble?

I had an opportunity to interview UK-based girl group “4th Impact”.  I am fortunate enough to talk to two of its members during their launch as Yumbassadors of Jollibee last May 20, 2016.

Sisters Almira and Celina Cercado were more than happy to answer two of my questions. Members of the media were trying to outdo one another to get an interview with the girl group because they’re in the Philippines for a limited period of time only.

LBC EXPRESS BAGAL TO THE 9TH POWER: Over Promises and Always Under Deliver

LBC EXPRESS BAGAL TO THE 9TH POWER: Over Promises and Always Under Deliver

Last month, I sent an LBC pouch to my relative in the province and it reached him after 3 (three) working days!

Last week, I expressed doubt when G used the said courier again to send a very important document needed by the same relative at the same address with the same cellphone number.  Meaning its a repeat business and G was confident that it will reach the consignee in just 1 (one) day!

My fear has a valid basis.  After all, LBC Express over promises and always under deliver! Which should not be the case.  Remember, the last pouch I sent took LBC Express three(3) days to deliver! Though the one in charge at LBC Express office promised me that it will reach the consignee the following morning! Yes, that one (1) day became three (3) days the last time.

And boy was I right! As of today, May 14, 2016, the said document is in oblivion.  It has not reach the consignee just yet.  G sent the document at LBC Express, Inc. at Suki Market, QC. last May 10, 2016 and was supposed to reach the consignee the following day May 11, 2016.

I made a  long distance call to the LBC Express office in that town.  A certain “Greg” who identified himself as an LBC personnel answered my call.  He further said that the said document could not be delivered because the LBC delivery man noted that the name of the consignee is unknown and the address was not complete.

Shocks, how did my earlier LBC pouch reached my relative last month? Oh, I forgot to tell you, I also made several long distance calls and had to do several local calls through our landline and cellphone for that delivery to happen and I paid more than triple the price just so my relative could received it supposedly in just one (1) day!

To LBC Express please deliver the document or return the said document to us and refund us our payment plus pay for our long distance calls and time! #LBCBULOK #LBCEXPRESSSABAGAL #LBCBAGAL #LBCPagong

TEDDY’S BURGER

TEDDY’S BURGER

‪Aloha! Hawaii’s so called best burger has been operating in the Philippines for almost two(2) years now!

But due to other priorities such as my medical treatment expenses and other priorities we were not able to try this joint way back in 2014.

Good thing, somebody held an event at Teddy’s that’s why I got to taste the world famous Teddy’s burgers that are hand crafted, flame broiled and dressed exactly the way you want it to be.

Like its rivals, Teddy’s Burger also offer chicken wings and thighs. The chicken is very delicious!

Its fries has a lot of cheese and really yummy!

 The bigger the better?
