SAINT PEDRO CALUNGSOD DOLLS: To Inspire children

After the canonization of the second Filipino Saint, St. Peter Calungsod, the Pedrito dolls are envisioned to inspire children to live saintly lives.

 

The Pedrito doll was designed with black hair, round black eyes, a flat nose, and a pleasant expression. The doll is dressed in a simple white long-sleeved shirt and brown pants, with a black bag and a palm leaf, the symbol of Calungsod's martyrdom.

 

The image of Saint Pedro Calungsod arrived Thursday afternoon from Rome at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, where it was greeted by a small crowd of Catholic air travelers and airport employees.
