The Cathedral withstood many earthquakes, the latest was in 1990. The church is kept beautifully by the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia. They just recently painted the Cathedral and it stands great with it's fresh creamy-white look.
Today, I receive all God’s love for me. Today, I open myself to the unbounded, limitless, overflowing abundance of God’s Universe. Today, I open myself to your Blessings, healing and miracles.Today, I open myself to God’s Word so that I become more like Jesus Everyday. Today, I proclaim that I’m God’s Beloved, I’m God’s Servant, I’m God’s powerful champion, And because I am blessed, I will bless the world, In Jesus Name, Amen.

i'm now a fan of your "tawad" skill... hahaha... sana makapunta rin ako sa vigan someday... para rin kasi syang cebu... daming heritage sites... Yahweh bless.
I'm going to vigan this June.. So I'm still contemplating on whether to try the kalesa tour or not. I'll bookmark your post to help me decide pa..heheh
Planning to go to Vigan this May! Hope I can visit this place!
never been to Vigan yet..will sure to visit this place sooon, if time permits.. ;)
it's fascinating to read about about churches..
and view them in their current glory!
the rich history makes it all worth it!
I also intend to cover as many churches as possible in my travels.
This one is a keeper!
i'm awed with old churches too...i remember nakasakay nako sa kalesa sa intramuros way way back, more than 10 yrs ago...
I appreciate your fad in touring old churches. I know churches had rich historical values and not only religion but cultural heritage also. By visiting them, anyone could imagine the religious activities of our forebears and other pious Filipinos.
I never been to Vigan yet but your post looks interesting! Therefore Vigan is a must be one of the destination! :)
i've been there once but only for awhile since the heat that time was so unbearable...would love to visit again but not when it's summer.
naku dear, sorry to burst your bubble, pero the standard rate for the calesa is P150/hour. hmm. ngayon ko lang nalaman yan. strictly regulated pa naman sila. meron pala nakakalusot. :(
I haven't been to Ilocos yet.. >.< Hopefully I get to visit Vigan and have a tour some time soon.. :) Love the photo of the Vigan Cathedral btw!
BF and I are planning a Vigan trip. I'm excited!
I really want to go to Vigan although I have already experienced Kalesa ride in Manila. Hehehe! Pero wala akong picture nun eh. Hehehe!
my bro and sis-in-law lives there now! cross fingers.. pag bakasyon namin visit ko din to!!! thanks for the preview!!!
I've never had a kalesa ride and 200 to 300 Php isn't a bad price for one hour. I will definitely do that if I get to Vigan one day :)
Vigan is on top of my bucket list to visit in the Philippines. I can't wait to experience what you had!
shawi ok lang po yun, buti na po yun siya ang nakalamang kaysa ako ang nanglamang~!
I've never been to Vigan but from the pictures, it does look wonderful.
